Hanami is a tradition in Japan. It happens in spring when the cherry blossom trees are in flower. Families and friends go to parks and sit under the pink trees. They have picnics and take photos. Hanami means “flower watching.” People enjoy nature and spend quiet time together.

Midsummer Festival – Sweden

The Midsummer Festival is a popular celebration in Sweden. It happens in June, when the days are very long. People wear flower crowns and dance around a tall pole called a maypole. Families eat fish and potatoes and sing traditional songs. It is a happy day with family and friends.
