Phase 1 — Personal information
Examiner: Good morning. Can I have your mark sheets, please? I'm the interlocutor and this is my colleague, the assessor.

- What's your name? — "My name's Deniz."
- Do you work or are you a student? — "I'm a student. I study engineering at university, and I'm in my second year."
- Where do you live? — "I live in Izmir, a big city on the coast. I live there with my family."
- What food do you like? — "I love Italian food, especially pasta, because it's quick and easy to cook."
- Extended response (about 20–30 seconds): — "My favourite meal is breakfast at the weekend. My mother makes eggs and fresh bread, and we all sit together and talk. I like it because we're always busy in the week, so it's a nice time for the family."
Useful language
- Giving a reason: because…, so…
