Use the verbs in brackets in the present simple or present continuous to fill in the blanks.
Hi Alex, I (live) in a small apartment in the city center now. Every morning I (wake up) at around 7 a.m., but today I (wake up) much earlier because I have an important meeting. Normally I (take) the metro to work, but this week I (drive) because the metro line is under repair. Right now I (sit) in a café near my office and I (write) this email to you. The café owner (know) me well because I often come here before work. At the moment, he (prepare) my usual coffee. I always (drink) a cappuccino in the morning because it helps me wake up. These days the city (become) busier because many tourists are arriving for the summer festival. People usually (visit) the old town and the museums. Right now many visitors (take) photos in the main square. My colleague Emma (work) in the same office as me. Today she (work) from home because she isn’t feeling well. Our manager usually (check) our reports every Friday, but this week he (travel) for a conference. In the evenings I usually (go) to the gym, but tonight I (meet) some friends for dinner.
