A Formal Letter of Apology - B2 English Writing — Exercise 3
Choose the correct words to complete this formal letter of apology.
Dear Dr Morgan,
I am writing to apologise the disruption caused during Tuesday’s public lecture. I recognise that I distracted and that it was irresponsible of me the sound system without checking the schedule first. The audience had to be annoyed by the interruption.
I had been asked to prepare the room for the following event, and I that the lecture had already ended. I entered the control area and made the main screen while the speaker was answering questions. I now understand that this caused embarrassment to both the speaker and the university.
I fully responsibility for my actions and have arranged additional training with the events team. Please be that I will confirm the timetable with the duty manager before changing any equipment in future.
Once again, please accept my sincere apologies.
Yours sincerely,
Alex Warren
