A day in the life of an airline pilot
Daniel is an airline pilot. He does not work every day. Some weeks he works three days, and some weeks he works four days. When he has a flight, he wakes up very early.
On work days, Daniel gets up at 5 a.m. He washes his face, brushes his teeth, and puts on his uniform. He always checks the weather on his phone before he leaves home. At 5:30 a.m., he eats some toast and drinks tea. Then he takes his suitcase and goes to the airport by taxi.
At the airport, Daniel meets his co-pilot and the cabin crew. They talk about the flight plan and the weather. The co-pilot helps Daniel fly the plane. The cabin crew give food and drinks to the passengers.
During the flight, Daniel speaks to the passengers. He tells them how long the flight is and what the weather is like. After they land, he says goodbye to the passengers.
Sometimes Daniel stays in another city for the night. He sleeps in a hotel and flies back home the next day. When he is at home, he likes cooking and watching TV. He also calls his family every evening.
