How to plan your answer

  • Tell the story in order: first, then, finally.
  • Use past tenses (found, took, gave).
  • Write 35 words or more.

Model answer (42 words)

One morning, Lucy was walking to school when she found a wallet on the street. It was full of money. She took it to the police station. Later, a man came to collect it. He was very happy and gave Lucy a small reward.

Now check your own story against the points below.

1A good story for this task uses past tenses such as “found” and “took”.

2My story includes all three pictures (finding the wallet, the police station, the reward).

3The events of the story should be in the correct order.
