Read the passage about a girl’s first day of school and then choose the right answer for questions 1 through 6.

Memories of My First Day at School

I will never forget my first day at school. I was six years old and very excited. My mother woke me up early in the morning. She helped me put on my new blue uniform and white shoes. I also had a small pink backpack.

When we arrived at the school, there were many children in the playground. Some children were laughing, but others were crying. I felt a little scared and held my mother’s hand tightly. My teacher, Miss Brown, smiled at me and said hello. She showed me my classroom.

Inside the classroom, there were colourful posters on the walls and small desks for the students. I sat next to a girl called Emma. She was friendly and shared her crayons with me. In the morning, we sang songs and learned the alphabet. At lunchtime, I ate sandwiches and an apple.

At the end of the day, I was very happy. I told my mother that I liked my teacher and my new friend. It was a special day for me.
