Daily routines Explanation

In this A1 Elementary Vocabulary Lesson on Daily Routines you’ll learn common verb phrases to talk about daily activities. Check out these pictures of everyday activities and the text about a person’s daily routine.

On weekdays, I usually 1 wake up at 6:30 in the morning. After that, I 2 get up and open the window in my room. Then, I go to the bathroom to 3 brush my teeth and wash my face. Before leaving my room, I 4 have breakfast with my family. I normally eat eggs and bread for breakfast. After eating, I 5 have a shower and 6 get dressed for the day.

At around 7:30, I 7 go to work by train. I always 8 start work at 8 o’clock. During the morning, I 9 check my emails and talk to my coworkers. Around midday, I 10 have lunch at a small café near my office.

In the afternoon, I 11 finish work and 12 go home by bus. When I get home, I sometimes 13 do homework or study English. On some days, I 14 go for a run in the park, and on weekends I 15 go to the gym with my friend. Before dinner, I may 16 go shopping for food and drinks. In the evening, I 17 cook dinner for my family. We always 18 have dinner together at the table. After dinner, I like to 19 watch TV and relax. Finally, I 20 go to bed at about 11 p.m.
