How to Write a Neighborhood Essay

This is how a simple neighborhood essay is structured:

1. Describe your neighbourhood
Tell me about your neighborhood.

Example:

  • I live in a quiet neighbourhood.
  • My neighbourhood is small and friendly.
  • I live near the city centre.

2. Describe places nearby
Talk shops, parks, schools and other places.

Example:

  • There is a supermarket near my house.
  • There are a few cafés on my street.

3. Say what you like/dislike (you)
Add your own opinion piece.

My Neighbourhood

One thing I don’t like is the traffic on the main road. It is very busy sometimes. I like living in my neighbourhood overall, it is a nice place.
