Subject: Our Lakewood weekend
Hi Maya,
Great news! Ben, Carla, Yusuf and I can all visit Lakewood from Friday 14 June to Monday 17 June. That means five people for three nights. I have checked four places to stay.
The campsite is beside the lake and costs only £9 per person each night. However, tents are not included, and Carla does not own one. The weather report also says Saturday may be wet.
Lakewood Hostel is in the town centre. It has a shared kitchen, free breakfast and lockers. A bed costs £24 a night. Its five-bed room is already taken, but there are beds in two larger rooms. We might not all sleep together.
The Pine Tree Guest House has one room for three people and one twin room. Breakfast is included, and it is a ten-minute walk from the lake. It costs £38 per person each night. The owner can keep the rooms for us until Tuesday.
I also found Bluebell Cottage. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large kitchen. The total price is £420 for the weekend, so it is the most expensive choice. It is six kilometres from Lakewood, but a bus stops outside every hour. The cottage looks comfortable, although the last bus leaves town at 9 p.m.
I prefer the guest house because we can walk everywhere and stay together. What do you think?
See you,
Leo
